Designed by Omer Arbel, the Series 28 copper cluster pendant light 19 – 61 pieces by Bocci has a blue glass and copper base which are a complementary duo making this light that much more eye-catching. The blue glass bubble detailing is unique as the air bubbles are naturally formed creating slightly different sizes and shapes each time. This is a design aspect that only adds to each light’s individual authenticity. Such a light design is constructed using a complex glass blowing technique in which air is gradually introduced and then removed from a glass matrix (which is heated and then rapidly cooled). The final result is a warped spherical shape that has inner layers of opaque milk glass and clear glass, with a low voltage lamp housed at its centre. With a robust copper flex cable suspension the lights hang securely from the ceiling, allowing for their cluster to form a central and artistic illumination.
